Our Story

Robinson & Sons Enterprises

Robinson & Sons Enterprises was formally established by Stuart Robinson with little more than the values and perseverance instilled in him from an early age. As the founder and president of construction, Stuart prides himself on high-quality craftsmanship, and he built Robinson & Sons Enterprises on this core principle. As the President of Construction, Stuart expects and ensures all Robinson & Sons Enterprises team members are held to this standard. He is a graduate of the University of Montana and a 4th-generation Montanan, having been born and raised in Great Falls and spending his early years in the Gallatin Valley. His family, which includes his young son, a 5th-generation Montanan, will carry on the way of life we know and love.

Stuart’s brother and additional managing principal of Robinson & Sons Enterprises, Zander Robinson, merged his carpentry business with us in 2023 to combine their talents and complement Stuart’s relentless determination. As the President of Operations, Zander ensures operational efficiency by monitoring supply chains, cost control, and streamlined procedures. Zander ensures operational cohesivity with seamless communication between our managing members and our clients and their needs. He is a United States Marine Corps veteran and multi-generational Montanan, having been raised alongside his brother Stuart in Great Falls and Bozeman. His family, which includes his wife and two children, has made the business a family affair.

Stuart and Zander grew up largely in gravel pits and construction yards, following the family enterprises. They have worked in almost all phases of construction, having essentially apprenticed for their father, uncles, cousins, and grandfathers, all of whom have made construction in one form or another a “Robinson” way of life, from heavy and highway construction to concrete, asphalt, signage, carpentry, electricity, plumbing, and the like. They learned their mastery of finish carpentry and general carpentry from their fraternal grandfather, who was a master cabinet maker from a long line of woodworkers going all the way back to the mid-19th century. Their great-grandfather, who passed on the mastery of precision craftsmanship, a strong work ethic, and hardscrabble determination, brought the Robinson line to Montana in 1904.

The Robinson line is strong in Montana, first along the oil-rich Hi-Line, to the banks of the Missouri and Bitterroot Valley. Robinson & Sons Enterprises continues a long tradition of quality work, integrity, and perfection that has always been a proud tradition throughout generations.
